PAPERBOARD
Paperboard is a thick, paper-based material generally stronger than typical paper. A paperboard can be a single-ply or multi-ply paper via the process of laminating (gluing) multiple plies together. Paperboard is primarily used when consumers need a material that is both foldable and rigid.
3-Ply Sheets
- A single layer of fluted paper pressed between two layers of linerboards.
- Suitable for lighter products.
- More economical compared to higher ply options.
5-Ply Sheets
- Consists of two layers of fluting separated by three layers of linerboard.
- Offers greater protection and durability compared to 3-ply sheets.
- Provides improved cushioning for heavier and more fragile items.
7-Ply Sheets
- Three layers of fluted paper separated by four layers of linerboard.
